The GG! Good Games Ideathon was one of the key closing program elements of E-mentoring’s “Creative Contemporary Communities in E-mentoring for Social Responsibility” project, implemented within the framework of the CERV, "Our Common Values" programme. The event aimed to strengthen young people’s legal awareness through creative game development.

GG! Good Games Ideathon - where students become game developers

The GG! Good Games Ideathon, held on January 31st, was a full-day event where high school teams worked on their own board game or video game concepts. The aim was for participants to experience how an idea can evolve into a consciously designed game, while exploring topics such as fundamental rights, equality, the prevention of discrimination, and community solidarity.

Game design training and creating a GDD
During the event, a game development training session helped the students create their own Game Design Document (GDD), which outlines the purpose, target group, theme, and type of the game. The training was led by Lambert Tóth, a game developer from Primal Game Studio, who introduced the participants to how such documents are used in the game industry. Through this, the students gained practical professional knowledge that may be useful for them in the future as well.
