Why Join?
E-tanoda is a nationwide digital mentoring program that aims to provide opportunities and support to disadvantaged children through online learning and personal mentorship. In the program, high school and university mentors help students from different parts of the country with learning, maintaining motivation, and strengthening self-confidence.
Each semester of the mentoring program begins with a preparatory training series, during which mentors participate in workshops, learn the methodology of mentoring, and are matched with their mentees. Afterward, the mentor and mentee work together online on a weekly basis. The participating schools, learning centers, and organizations are partners of E-tanoda who believe that digital learning, empathy, and community responsibility can build bridges between different social groups.
Conditions for Cooperation
At E-tanoda, we believe that every child can truly thrive when they feel supported from multiple directions. Therefore, it is important that each participating institution has a local coordinator who helps maintain communication, supports motivation, and ensures that learning remains a safe, inspiring, and joyful experience for the student.
The basis of cooperation is a partnership agreement, in which both parties commit to jointly supporting the students.
The partner school or organization commits to:
- Coordinating and supporting participating children locally.
- Assisting with the contracting process involving children and parents.
- Maintaining regular contact with the E-tanoda program coordinator.
- Facilitating students’ participation in online sessions.
- Cooperating and communicating with families.
- Providing the necessary information and technical conditions.
- Consulting with program staff on any questions or issues that arise.

Which schools, learning centers, and organizations are currently part of E-tanoda?
E-tanoda’s network is nationwide: more than twenty high schools, as well as numerous learning centers, schools, and NGOs, collaborate with us. Our mentors come from institutions such as Berzsenyi Dániel Gimnázium, Alternatív Közgazdasági Gimnázium, Trefort Ágoston Practice High School, and Eötvös József Gimnázium. Our mentees join from various regions, including Ormánság, the Kecskemét micro-region, Szolnok, Csörög, and Budapest learning centers. Our goal is to expand and offer the opportunity to participate to even more institutions in the future.

E-tanoda is not only a mentoring program but also a pedagogical innovation hub, organizing regular workshops, trainings, and awareness programs for professionals. These events aim to support educators and youth workers in helping young people with modern methodologies, digital tools, and experience-based approaches.
Example workshop:
- ROMOJI – Interactive Sensitization Game and Methodological Workshop
Romoji is a narrative adventure game that tells the story of three friends, introducing everyday life in Roma communities in Hungary and Slovakia. Its goal is to raise awareness about racism and prejudice, foster empathy, and encourage dialogue between young people and adults.
During the workshop, participants:
- Learn about the game’s story and pedagogical potential,
- Play the game and reflect together on their experiences,
- Receive ideas on how to use Romoji in classrooms, learning centers, or community activities.
- The workshop is designed for teachers, social workers, and youth professionals who wish to explore new methodological tools for awareness-raising and community building.
The workshop is free of charge upon scheduling an appointment.
