Personal training against online bullying and abuse for mentees
This training material addresses the issues of abuse, harassment, and safety in the online space, specifically for educators and mentors working with adolescents. As digital presence has become an essential part of young people’s lives, it is crucial that they are able to recognize risky situations and have the tools to navigate the online environment safely.
The program places special emphasis on gender perspectives and on situations that disproportionately affect girls and young women online. The training not only presents different forms of online abuse, but also focuses on prevention, conscious digital presence, and positive reinforcement.
The methodology is interactive, built on discussions, joint processing, and reflective exercises. Participants learn through real-life scenarios how to respond, how to support young people, and how to create a safe and trusting environment.
E-tanoda’s project on preventing online abuse, incorporating gender-sensitive perspectives, was supported by the Roots and Wings Foundation.
