Step 40: Collaborative Tasks - Timeline and Joint Essay

In the collaborative timeline task, events can be given (e.g., breaking a story into 10 parts), and the students' task is to provide the correct order for these events. Each student can only move their own elements, although they can see all of them. They can communicate via chat (or even in person during class) while working on the task.

The joint essay task operates on a similar principle, where two students see different information and must work together based on that. They are assisted in their work by always being able to see what their partner is doing, which the system indicates in real time—but they cannot write directly in each other's sections. They can communicate with each other in a chat window, making this task highly applicable even when we are not in the same space as the students, or when they are not in the same space with each other.
